Obituary for Carl H. "Buddy" Eisenhower Sr.
Carl H. Eisenhower, Sr., "Buddy", 88, of Upper Tulpehocken Twp., passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in his residence. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Shirk) Eisenhower, who died June 8, 2015.
Born in Upper Bern Twp., he was the son of the late Robert Eisenhower and Helen A. (Nagle) Eisenhower Kreitz. Buddy worked as a carpenter for nineteen years for B. Frank Sheidy, Bernville. He was also a self-employed carpenter for twenty-seven years; and a part-time barber in Shartlesville for fifteen years. Carl was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville. He was also a member of the Shartlesville Fire Company; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and planting flowers.
Carl is survived by his three sons: Robert C. Eisenhower, husband of Brenda J. (Miller), Penn Twp.; Kevin L. Eisenhower, husband of Lisa D. (Steinhauer), Upper Bern Twp.; and Carl H. Eisenhower, Jr., widower of Linda L. (Emerich), Upper Tulpehocken Twp.; daughter-in-law: Christina M. (Lally) Eisenhower, Shartlesville; seven grandchildren: Steve, Jr. (Tamara), Chad (Lindsay), Clint (Morgan), Scott (Vicki), Mark (Mandi), Stacy (Brian) and Todd; and twelve great-grandchildren: McKayla, Alanna, Logan, Heidi, Julie, Brayden, Brandt, Haleigh, Eoin, Cora, Astrid and Callum. He is also survived by his step-brother: Ray Kreitz, Bernville. Carl was predeceased by his son: Steven R. Eisenhower, who died October 21, 2016; three sisters: Mary A. Rutter; Stella L. Miller; and Pauline A. Blatt; and his step-siblings: Gladys Groff; and Ralph Kreitz.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Frieden’s Cemetery, Shartlesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Frieden's Church, P.O.
