Obituary for Bruce L. Bashore

Bruce L. Bashore, 66, of Windsor Twp., passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Janine L. (Burkert) Bashore. They were married June 25, 2005 and celebrated 16 years of marriage.

Born in Bethel, he was the son of the late Ray W. and Phyllis E. (Waxwood) Bashore.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Aaron L. Bashore, Bernville, and Bradley S. Bashore, husband of Ashton R. (Mertens), Washington, Illinois; two daughters: Whitney L. (Pesce) Chalcas, wife of Johnny, Huntersville, NC, and Triscia S. (Pesce) Kenny, wife of Stephen M., Lincolnton, NC; three grandchildren: Yianna, Henry, and Anastasia; and two brothers and one sister: Allan, husband of Marjorie, Shoemakersville, David, husband of Bernadine, Upper Bern Twp and sister Brenda, wife of Dale, Upper Bern Township. Bruce was predeceased by his first wife, Susan J. (Schaeffer) Bashore, died March 25, 1995; and his brother: Terry L. Bashore.

He graduated from Hamburg Area High School in 1973. He was a member of Zion's Church, Windsor Twp. Bruce was employed by Tom Schaeffer's RV Super Store, Shoemakersville for 47 years. He was a member of Shartlesville Fish and Game Association and Bush Wackers Cabin, Clinton County.

Bruce had a love for the outdoors which included: camping, 4wheeling, hiking, kayaking and skiing. His additional hobbies included: playing baseball, building bean bag games and playing his games with friends and family, watching football, and taking his German Shepard Smokey for a truck ride. Bruce was a detail oriented man that enjoyed sharing his skills and knowledge with others. He was a strong man of faith and enjoyed praying with people and leading them to Christ.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 7:00 pm from Zion's Church, 770 Zion Church Rd., Hamburg, PA 19526. A viewing will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the church. Burial will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00 am in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp.

The family requests that all in attendance please wear a face covering.
