Brenda L. Ponce, 70, of Fleetwood, passed away in her residence on Sunday, September 9, 2018 with her family by her side. She was the wife of Wilfredo "Freddy" Ponce. They were married on February 5, 1972 and celebrated forty-six years of marriage.
Born in Hamburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry R. and Betty L. (Miller) Moore. She was a 1967 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. Brenda worked for ten years as a nurse's aide for Berks Heim. She attended GT Church, West Lawn. Brenda loved her church and all the ministries she was involved with, including being a member of the Eagle Ladies Bible Club and working at the fellowship guest services. She enjoyed working in her garden, having a clean house and preparing meals for her husband after a long day at work. Brenda especially loved her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband is one daughter: Shannon L. (Ponce), wife of Timothy Fenstermacher, Fleetwood; two step-sons: Mark A. Ponce, and his wife Lori, Temple; and Wilfredo "Freddy" Ponce, Jr., and his wife Michele, Sinking Spring; five grandchildren: Adrianna, Samantha, Esdras, Jazalyn, and Serena; and one great-granddaughter: Jaylah. Brenda is also survived by her sister: Linda E. (Moore) Prutzman; Hamburg; and niece: Denise Clare, Hamburg.
Services will be held on Thursday at 7:30 pm from GT Church, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, PA 19609. A viewing will be held in the church Thursday 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
