Obituary for Bonnie J. Henry
Bonnie J. Henry, 41, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center after a courageous battle with Aplastic Anemia.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Lester F. and Faye L. (Gift) Henry, Shoemakersville. Bonnie was a 1997 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1996 until 2020, serving one tour in Iraq. She worked for the Department of Defense. Bonnie was a huge Notre Dame fan.
Surviving in addition to her parents is her daughter: Allison N. Morgan, Mechanicsburg; one brother: Wayne R. Henry, Shoemakersville; and two nephews: Wayne, Jr. and Chase. Bonnie will be missed by her canine companions: Precious and Piper; and numerous cats.
Due to the impending weather forecast, visitation with the family for Bonnie will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Due to the current mandates, social distancing will be followed as well as wearing masks. Burial will be private in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown.
