Obituary for Betty M. Stetzler (Bausher)

Betty M. Stetzler, 80, of Hamburg, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Penn State Health St. Joseph. She was the wife of Roger L. Stetzler. They were married on June 29, 1963 and celebrated fifty-eight years of marriage.
Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie (Dunkleberger) Bausher. Betty was a 1960 graduate of Hamburg High School. She worked as an advertising salesperson for Berks-Mont News. Betty also sold insurance and home interiors. She was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church, Hamburg. Betty enjoyed writing and would write for local papers. She also enjoyed interviewing World War II veterans. Betty loved her kitties. She was a member of Hamburg Citizens Crime Watch for fifteen years and served as president for two years. Betty was also a member of the Berks County Patriots and a former member of the PTA and Junior Woman's Club of Hamburg.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Wendy A. (Stetzler) Raven, Fort Lauderdale, FL; and Donna L. (Stetzler), wife of Edward Balletta, Cape Coral, FL; and one granddaughter: Madison Weaver. Betty was predeceased by a brother: Ralph Bausher; and a sister: Marie Bausher.
Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 am from Faith Bible Baptist Church, 138 Maple Drive, Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. A viewing will be held in the church Friday 10:00 to 11:30 am. Betty's favorite color was burgundy. The family encourages those attending to wear a shade of burgundy.
