Obituary for Anna M. Spohn (Metz)
Anna M. Spohn, 83, of Tilden Twp., passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 in Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of George L. Spohn, who died February 19, 2021.
Born in Tilden Twp., she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Emma L. (Bagenstose) Metz. Anna was a 1956 graduate of Hamburg High School. She had been a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. Anna enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading books and sewing. She taught herself and her children how to play the piano.
Anna is survived by her children: Brian C. Spohn, Columbia, Lancaster Co.; Dean E. Spohn, husband of Lois A. (Birkenbine), Greenwich Twp.; Carol A. (Spohn) Smith, wife of Dana W. Smith, Shoemakersville; and Kyle S. Spohn, Manheim, Lancaster Co.; seven grandchildren: Stacy, Jeremy, Heather, Darci, Andrew, Nicolas and Stefan; and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Jane M. (Metz), wife of Kenneth R. Breininger, Tilden Twp.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home Monday 10:00 to 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Michael's Church, for the music fund, 529 St. Michael's Road, Hamburg, PA 19526.
