Obituary for Paul D. Seyfert Sr.

Paul D. Seyfert, Sr., 90, of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Pinebrook Assisted Living, Orwigsburg. He was the husband of Lois C. (Miller) Seyfert, who died April 9, 2008.
Born in Shartlesville, he was the son of the late Elmer and Lizzie (Berger) Seyfert. Paul was a U.S. Navy combat veteran of World War II. He worked for Dana Corporation, Reading, until his retirement. He also owned and operated Paul's Ceramic Shop at his residence from 1985-1995. Paul was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. He was a member and past commander of Wagner-Good Post 216 V.F.W., Hamburg; and a member of Union Fire Company and beneficial association, Hamburg. He was also on the Civil Service Commission for the Borough of Hamburg for many years.
Paul is survived by two sons: Paul D. Seyfert, Sr., and his wife Cindy, Fort Mill, South Carolina; and Terry L. Seyfert, and his wife Linda, Shoemakersville; one daughter: Bonnie A. (Seyfert), wife of Richard Jacoby, Hamburg; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother: David Seyfert, Reading; and two sisters: Anna Wagner, Fleetwood; and Jane Quick, Hamburg. Paul was predeceased by two sisters: Mabel Epting and Mary Blackwell.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
