Obituary for Lawrence H. Wagner

Lawrence H. Wagner, 95, formerly of Centerport, and a resident of Hearthstone at Maidencreek, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in the Berks Heim. He was the husband of V. Pearl (Spraut) Wagner, who died June 25, 2013.
Born in Centre Twp., he was the son of the late Thomas W. and Emma M. (Bagenstose) Wagner. Lawrence worked as a carpenter for Carpenter Union Local 492, Hyde Park, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Michael's Church, Tilden Twp. Lawrence was a member of Central Berks Fire Company and beneficial association, Centerport. He liked to sing and dance and was a former member of the Boomba's.
Lawrence is survived by one son: Rodney L. Wagner, husband of Anne E. (Hummel) Wagner, Leesport; four grandchildren: Melanie Wenger; Jeremy Wagner, and his wife Diana; Matthew Hummel, and his wife Rebecca; and Adrienne Lesher, and her husband Nathan; and seven great-grandchildren: Lucas, Nia, Thomas, Jessica, Jennifer, Nicholas and Angela. He was predeceased by three brothers: Charles, Morris and Clarence; and four sisters: Bertha, Stella, Helen and Grace.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 pm from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street, Leesport. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
